BeyondDC Thumbnail Gallery - East Potomac Park

East Potomac Park occupies the largest island in the Potomac River between Washington and Arlington. Its southern tip, called Hains Point, presents one of the more unique vantage points in the city. Facing away from downtown visitors enjoy views of the busy Reagan National Airport, the ironically tranquil National War College, and the surprisingly vast Potomac River on its way to the sea. The park also includes one of Washington’s most famous non-memorial statues, The Awakening.
